Why Orlando Homeowners Choose Delta Construction
We’re an independent Orlando Delta service provider, and we work on Delta faucets, shower valves, and tub/shower systems every week across the metro. If you own a Delta Leland kitchen faucet that’s lost pressure, a Dryden bathroom faucet that won’t drain, or a Trinsic shower trim that’s seized up from Orlando’s hard water, we can diagnose and fix it, usually same week. We’re not authorized by Delta, and we won’t pretend to be. What we are is a remodeling crew that has pulled apart enough Delta valve bodies to know exactly which ones hold up in Florida water conditions and which ones don’t.

Why Trust Sawyer Remodel Orlando for Your Delta Construction?

Luca Romano, our owner and lead contractor, has spent the better part of two decades working on Central Florida homes, and Delta fixtures show up on a large share of those jobsites. He trained at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College, where he got serious about finish carpentry and structural work, and that foundation carries over into the precise work Delta valve swaps and shower conversions demand. When you pull a MultiChoice universal valve out of a wall that’s been soaking in Orlando’s mineral-rich water for ten years, you learn fast which cartridges come out clean and which ones fight you.
Every Delta job we run follows The Relay Standard: live arrival time, photo updates before and after, and a written price before we pick up a single tool. Our technicians are background-checked and uniformed, so you know who’s walking through your door. And if the Delta repair we make doesn’t hold, the 365-Day Done Right Promise means we come back and make it right. That’s in writing, on every project.

Common Delta Construction Problems We Fix in Orlando
Orlando’s water supply runs hard, which means mineral scale builds up inside Delta valves and aerators faster than it does in most of the country. Here’s what we see most often:
- Stiff or seized MultiChoice universal valve cartridges. The MultiChoice rough-in body is a solid design, but in hard-water homes like College Park or Winter Park, calcium deposits creep into the cartridge and the handle gets progressively harder to turn. By the time a homeowner calls us, they’re usually cranking the handle with two hands. The fix is a new genuine Delta cartridge, and in severe cases we recommend replacing the pressure-balancing unit as well.
- Aerator clogging and low flow on Leland pull-down spray heads. The Leland kitchen faucet uses a fine-mesh aerator that catches sediment well, which also means it clogs. Orlando pulls from the Floridan Aquifer, and the water picks up minerals that eventually choke the aerator. We swap in a new Delta aerator, which usually restores full flow in about ten minutes. If the pull-down hose itself has internal scaling, we replace the hose and spray head assembly.
- Dryden drain pop-up assemblies breaking at the lift rod. The Dryden widespread bathroom faucet has a pop-up drain linkage that’s made of thin metal. After a few years of daily use, the lift rod bends or the plastic pivot snaps. We see this constantly in rental properties and family bathrooms. The repair is straightforward: new pop-up assembly, properly adjusted. No reason to replace the whole faucet over a $30 part.
- Escutcheon corrosion and stripped set screws on Trinsic trims. The Trinsic wall-mount shower trim looks great, but the escutcheon plate is prone to corrosion in humid Florida bathrooms. Stripped set screws are the other common failure, usually because someone over-tightened them during install. When the finish is worn or the plate is pitted, we replace the escutcheon with a quality aftermarket piece that matches the existing finish, which costs far less than a full trim kit.
- Valve body leaks at the sweat connections. On older Delta installations in Orlando’s 1980s block homes, we find pinhole leaks at the copper-to-valve sweat joints. This is usually a combination of original installer error and two decades of water chemistry. If the leak is caught early, we can re-sweat the joint. If the valve body itself is compromised, we quote a full replacement rather than patching an old valve.
Delta Parts & Our Repair-vs-Replace Approach

For anything that moves or seals inside a Delta fixture, we install genuine Delta parts. Cartridges, aerators, pressure-balancing units, and drain assemblies need to meet OEM tolerances, and aftermarket copies in these positions cause more callbacks than they save. For cosmetic pieces like escutcheons, trim plates, and handle adapters, we’re comfortable using quality aftermarket parts when corrosion or finish matching is the real issue. A pitted escutcheon on a Trinsic trim doesn’t need a factory piece; it needs a piece that won’t pit again in Orlando’s humidity.
The repair-vs-replace conversation happens honestly. If your Delta Classic 400 shower valve has a seized cartridge that won’t come out even after soaking, we’re not going to burn your money on extraction attempts. If the valve body is cracked from a freeze or scale has destroyed the internal bores, we quote a direct replacement. That usually means a new MultiChoice universal rough-in, which gives you the flexibility to choose any Delta trim you want later. Call (850) 809-0306 and we’ll tell you which side of that line your fixture falls on.
Our Delta Service Process – Step by Step
- 1
Diagnosis. We identify the exact Delta model or series you have, check the valve body condition, and determine whether the problem is the cartridge, the trim, the supply lines, or something else. We tell you what we found in plain English and give you a written price for the fix before we do any work.
- 2
Repair or replacement. If we’re repairing, we pull the old cartridge or assembly and install the genuine Delta replacement, using plumber’s grease where the manufacturer calls for it and torqueing everything to spec rather than guessing. If we’re replacing a shower valve, we cut out the old rough-in, sweat in the new MultiChoice body, and pressure-test before closing the wall.
- 3
Testing. We run water through the fixture, check for leaks at every joint, cycle the handle through full hot and cold, and confirm proper flow at the aerator or shower head. On tub/shower conversions, we also check the drain under full flow and verify the new valve is properly secured to the blocking.
- 4
Warranty and cleanup. Every Delta job we do carries the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If anything isn’t right within a year, we come back and make it right. We also leave your bathroom or kitchen cleaner than we found it, which shouldn’t be remarkable but apparently is in this trade.

AfterDelta Products We Service & Install in Orlando
We work on Delta faucets, shower trims, tub/shower surrounds, and valve bodies across the Orlando metro, including Delta repair in Winter Park. The models we see most often include the Leland kitchen faucet, Dryden widespread bathroom faucet, Trinsic wall-mount shower trim, and Classic 400 tub/shower valve. We stock genuine Delta MultiChoice cartridges, aerators, and pressure-balancing units in our local inventory, which means most repair jobs don’t wait on a parts order. For shower remodels, we install new Delta MultiChoice universal rough-in valves with the trim of your choice, then finish the job with the tub-to-shower conversion, walk-in shower, or frameless glass enclosure you’ve specified.
We Also Service These Brands
Delta is what this page is about, but it’s not the only name we work with. We also offer General Contractor services for full remodels. Our Orlando remodels regularly include KraftMaid cabinetry, Cambria and Silestone countertops, and Kohler fixtures. If your kitchen has a Delta faucet above a Cambria slab and a Kohler sink, we can service all of it without bringing in three different crews.
FAQs – Delta Construction Service in Orlando

Turn off the water, pull the handle and trim plate, and look at the brass body in the wall. If you see a single round valve body with two stops on the bottom and a retaining ring you can turn by hand, it’s almost certainly a MultiChoice. If you’re not sure, call us at (850) 809-0306 and describe what you see. We can usually identify the rough-in from a photo.
Usually yes. If the existing Delta valve is a MultiChoice universal body in good shape, we can keep it in place and simply change the trim, remove the tub, and build the walk-in shower around it. That saves you real money on the conversion. If the valve body is corroded or seized, we’ll recommend a new rough-in while the wall is open, and we’ll give you that price up front.
That’s a worn cartridge O-ring or a scored cartridge seat. On the Leland, the handle base drip almost always means water is getting past the cartridge seal, not that the hose or spray head is failing. A new genuine Delta cartridge fixes it in most cases. Call (850) 809-0306 for an exact diagnosis and a written quote.
We do. When a Delta trim plate is corroded or the finish is worn, we source a quality aftermarket trim in the matching finish, whether that’s brushed nickel, chrome, or matte black. For anything internal, like the cartridge or pressure-balancing unit, we stick with genuine Delta parts. The trim is cosmetic; the valve internals are not.
Yes, within limits. If you’re moving the valve a few inches up or sideways for a new shower layout in Casselberry Delta service areas and beyond, we can often extend the existing supply lines and re-mount the valve without tearing out the entire wall. If you’re moving the shower to the other side of the bathroom, that’s a re-pipe, and we’ll tell you that before we start. No surprises.
