Blanco Driveway & Pavers: The Orlando Owner’s Guide

If you’ve got a Blanco driveway or paver surface that’s failing, we stock the compatible pavers, edge restraints, bedding sand, and jointing compound to fix it right, and our installed repair work in Orlando typically runs $250 to $18,000 depending on whether we’re replacing a few pavers or rebuilding the whole driveway. Most Orlando homeowners find out something’s wrong after a summer storm: a section sinks, a paver cracks under the car, or weeds start pushing through joints that used to stay tight. The Blanco paver lines sold across Central Florida have a specific bed-prep requirement that gets skipped on a lot of builder-grade installs, and that’s usually where the trouble starts. You don’t need a full replacement in most cases. You need the right part, matched to the right base depth for Florida’s sandy soil and wet-season drainage.

We’re an independent Orlando contractor, not a Blanco dealer. That means we tell you straight whether an OEM Blanco paver or a quality equivalent makes more sense for your job, and we put the price in writing before we touch the driveway.

Which Blanco Models This Applies To

Blanco’s driveway line in Florida falls into three families, and the fix is different for each. The Blanco StoneCollection runs in 60mm and 80mm thicknesses, with the 80mm being the only one we recommend for Orlando driveways that see full-size trucks or SUVs. The Blanco AquaLine is a permeable paver built for drainage code in neighborhoods like Baldwin Park and Lake Nona, where stormwater rules changed after 2015 and cheap non-permeable pavers no longer pass inspection on new driveways. And the Blanco Classic series is their older 60mm paver, still on plenty of College Park and Winter Park driveways from the early 2000s, now discontinued by Blanco but available through a few aftermarket suppliers we work with directly.

To identify what you have, look at the side of any loose or lifted paver: Blanco stamps the series name and thickness in millimeter on the paver edge. If you can’t find a stamp, measure the paver thickness with a tape. 60mm means Classic or StoneCollection; 80mm means StoneCollection heavy-duty. A missing edge restraint is the most common reason Orlando pavers creep outward within two years of install. OEM Blanco edge restraints are aluminum and run about $8 to $14 per linear foot. Aftermarket polymer restraints hold up fine and cost about half that. We carry both.

Signs Your Blanco Driveway & Pavers Is Failing

  • Paver sinks in one spot, usually near the garage apron. This is base failure, not paver failure. In Orlando, a base that was never compacted in lifts will settle unpredictably as the sandy subgrade shifts through wet and dry seasons. The paver itself is almost always fine; the fix is lifting that section, re-compacting, and re-laying what’s already there.
  • Edge pavers are drifting outward and the driveway is wider than it used to be. That’s a failed or missing edge restraint. Without containment, pavers spread under vehicle load. You re-cut the edge, install new restraint, and lock the field back in.
  • Weeds are pushing up through the joints. Jointing sand has washed out or was never polymeric. You’ll see this worse along Orlando driveways that slope toward the street, because every afternoon thunderstorm carries the sand downhill. We remove the old joint material, re-sand with polymeric sand, and recompact.
  • Faded color with bare patches showing aggregate. Orlando’s UV index breaks down the paver surface faster than anywhere in the Midwest or Northeast. Once the color layer is gone, the paver still functions but won’t hold a sealer. That’s the usual moment homeowners decide to replace rather than chase repairs.
  • Water pooling in the middle of the driveway after a light rain. The paver field has developed a low spot, typically from a base that was graded flat instead of with positive drainage slope off the house. Pooling water on a Blanco driveway accelerates joint-sand loss and creates the green algae slick you see on older Orlando installs.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

An open kitchen and dining area after a remodel

In Orlando, a Blanco paver repair runs from about $250 to $700 for spot work like re-setting a sunken section or replacing a few cracked pavers. A full paver driveway installation falls between $7,000 and $18,000 depending on square footage, whether we’re excavating an old concrete slab, and what base depth the job requires. If you’re pulling out an old asphalt or concrete driveway and converting to Blanco pavers, plan on $5,000 to $14,000 all-in for a typical two-car Orlando driveway.

What’s included: the pavers or aftermarket equivalent, new bedding sand, edge restraints, jointing sand, haul-away of the old surface, and compaction. We give you a written line-item price before any work starts, so you see exactly what you’re paying for, and that number is the number on the invoice. Our 365-Day Done Right Promise applies here: if a repaired section sinks or shifts within a year, we come back and make it right, no argument. Luca Romano has run enough driveway rebuilds in Orlando to know that the base is the whole job. The pavers just sit on top.

DIY or Call Us?

You can safely check a few things yourself. Look at your edge restraints, see if the joints are holding sand, and note where water pools after rain. That information helps you get an accurate quote fast. What you shouldn’t do is pull up pavers without a plate compactor and a plan for the base. A homeowner who lifts a sunken section, shovels in some bagged paver base from the big-box store, and calls it done will be back in the same spot after one Orlando wet season, because the underlayment was never compacted in lifts. Driveway pavers also weigh 15 to 25 pounds each. Moving a field of them by hand is back-breaking work that either ends in a half-finished driveway or a hospital visit.

If you’d rather have it done once and done right, call (850) 809-0306. We’ll give you a straight answer and a written price. Good work doesn’t need a speech, it just needs to hold up.
