Construction Before & After in Orlando, FL
Photos tell the truth faster than any sales pitch. Over nearly two decades of remodeling in Orlando, we’ve watched bathrooms leak into kitchens, load-bearing walls get “fixed” by someone with a Sawzall and a guess, and kitchens age 30 years in one humid Florida summer. The before-and-after transformations below show what happens when the work is planned, priced, and executed under The Relay Standard: a written price before work starts, live arrival tracking, and photo updates through the job.

Recent Transformations
Primary Bathroom Remodel in Baldwin Park
The problem: a 40-year-old bathroom where the subfloor had gone soft under the toilet flange, and the shower pan had been leaking into the ceiling below since the Bush administration. We pulled everything to the studs, found the rotted framing, sistered in new joists, and rebuilt the space with a full waterproofing system. The result is a bathroom that reads as clean and dry as it looks – no hidden rot, no mystery smell, and a shower that drains properly for the first time in years.
Kitchen Expansion and Cabinet Replacement in Winter Park
The problem: a 1990s galley kitchen where two people couldn’t pass each other without a tango, and the only prep space was an 18-inch strip next to the stove. The homeowner wanted an open plan, but the wall between the kitchen and living room was carrying the second floor. We engineered the beam, pulled permits, and the inspection passed on the first visit. The result: a kitchen that flows into the living space, cabinet storage that actually reaches the ceiling, and an island that’s become the default gathering spot.
Whole-Home Renovation After Pipe Burst in College Park
The problem: a burst supply line in an upstairs bathroom sent water through two stories of a 1960s home in College Park. By the time the homeowner got home, the kitchen ceiling was on the floor. We dried the structure, verified no mold had set, then rebuilt: new ceilings, insulation, flooring, and baseboards throughout. We also re-routed the supply line away from the exterior wall where it had frozen in the first place. The result is a house that looks entirely different – and a plumbing layout that won’t do that again.
Shower Replacement and Tile Repair in Dr. Phillips
The problem: the shower pan had failed, and the water damage had wicked up the curb and into the adjacent wall cavity. The homeowner didn’t want a full bathroom remodel – just a shower that stopped leaking. We tore out the old pan, rebuilt the slope correctly, installed a bonded waterproof membrane, and re-tiled with large-format porcelain. The result: a shower that passes a 24-hour flood test and grout lines that stay clean without bleach.
Laundry Room Remodel and Utility Upgrades in Conway
The problem: the dryer vent ran into the wall cavity, filling the space with lint and moisture every time the dryer ran. That’s a fire hazard and a mold risk in a climate with Orlando humidity. We re-ran the vent properly to the exterior, opened the wall to confirm no mold had taken hold, then finished the room with built-in storage and a deep utility sink. The result: a laundry room that functions, vents, and looks like a room – not a utility closet you apologize for.
