Belgard Driveway & Pavers: The Orlando Owner’s Guide
We install and repair Belgard paver driveways, patios, and walkways throughout Orlando. A typical Belgard driveway project runs $7,000 – $18,000 depending on square footage, the specific paver line you choose, and how much prep work your existing base needs. Most homeowners reach out to us after noticing pavers shifting, edges sinking, or standing water pooling where it didn’t before. They’re usually staring at a paver that’s cracked in half or an edge that’s dropped two inches after a Florida summer of daily downpours. If that’s where you are, here’s what you need to know.
Which Belgard Models This Applies To

Belgard makes several paver lines, and the part you need depends on which one is in your driveway or patio right now. The most common lines we see in Orlando are Holland Stone, Mega Arbel, Urbana, and Catalina. Each has specific modular dimensions. Holland Stone pavers typically run 60mm thick for driveways, while some paver lines come in both 60mm and 80mm profiles. The compatibility gotcha: most Belgard paver lines are modular only within their own series. You cannot swap a Catalina paver into a Holland Stone layout and expect it to fit. The widths and joint spacing don’t line up. If you don’t know what you have, pull up a loose paver and check the underside for the Belgard product code, or snap a photo and text it to us at (850) 809-0306. We’ll ID it before you buy a single stone.
OEM vs aftermarket here isn’t really the debate it is with mechanical parts. Belgard pavers are the specification. Off-brand lookalikes won’t match the color blend, and paver color batches shift over time even from Belgard itself. We source from current Belgard inventory and, for older lines that have been discontinued, we work with local Orlando suppliers who carry closed-out pallets. Sawyer Remodel Orlando is an independent contractor, not affiliated with Belgard, which means we can tell you straight if a repair is worth doing or if replacement is the smarter spend.

Signs Your Belgard Driveway & Pavers Is Failing
- Edge pavers sinking or spreading outward. In Orlando’s sandy soil, driveway edges lose lateral containment fast. Every time a tire rolls over the edge, the base pushes out a little more. If an edge paver is a half-inch lower than its neighbor, your edge restraint has failed and the problem will keep walking outward.
- Standing water after rain. Central Florida gets 50+ inches of rain a year. If puddles sit on your paver driveway for more than an hour after a storm, the base has developed low spots. That means the compacted base is uneven, and water is now working its way under the pavers.
- Cracked pavers in the wheel path. Pavers don’t crack on their own. A cracked paver usually means a void opened up in the base beneath it. The paver is bridging a gap, and vehicle weight is snapping it.
- Sand washing out of the joints after every rain. You’ll see sand streaks on your garage floor or down the driveway slope. The joint sand is gone or the base is shifting enough to keep working it loose. Once the sand goes, pavers start chipping against each other under load.
- White chalky residue spreading across the surface. That’s efflorescence, common in Orlando’s humidity. It’s cosmetic in most cases, but if it keeps returning after cleaning, the base isn’t draining and moisture is being pulled through the pavers from underneath.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

Paver driveway installation in Orlando runs $7,000 – $18,000 on average, with most two-car driveways landing between $9,000 and $14,000. The range comes from three things:
- Square footage. A 400-square-foot driveway costs less than a 1,200-square-foot circular drive.
- Base condition. If the existing base is failing or you’re converting from concrete, demo and new base prep add to the job. That’s real labor: digging out old material, compacting fresh rock, and re-grading for drainage.
- Paver line. Premium Belgard lines cost more per square foot than entry-level ones, and borders, inlays, or soldier courses add labor.
The price we give you is written before any work starts, per our standard practice. It covers removal of the old surface, base prep, paver installation, polymeric sand, and edge restraint. And the number is the number – no change orders at the end. Every paver repair or install we do in Orlando carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it’s not done right, we make it right.
DIY or Call Us?
Here’s what’s safe to check yourself: look at your edges, note where water pools, and keep an eye on whether sand is washing out. Take photos over a few rainy weeks. That tells you if the problem is isolated or systemic. What we’d caution against is pulling up loose pavers and re-leveling them yourself with a bag of sand from the home center. The problem is rarely the one paver. It’s what’s under it, and if you re-set a paver without fixing the base, you’ve bought yourself maybe three months before it sinks again. Concrete and asphalt work is also not a weekend project in Orlando heat. If the paver has shifted more than a half-inch, call us at (850) 809-0306. We’ll inspect it and give you a written price before any work begins.
FAQs

A properly installed Belgard paver driveway in Orlando lasts 25 – 40 years. The pavers themselves will outlast the base, which is why most driveway problems we see are base failures that happen long before the stones wear out.
Yes. If the base failure is localized, we can lift the affected pavers, re-compact the base, and re-install them. The challenge is matching old pavers to new ones, since color blends shift. We’ll tell you honestly whether a patch job will look acceptable or if the repair will be visible. Call (850) 809-0306 for a free estimate either way.
A typical paver driveway replacement takes 3 to 5 days from demo to final sand, depending on size and weather. Orlando afternoon thunderstorms can add a day, and we build that into the schedule when we give you a written price.
We don’t warehouse full pallets, but we order from local Orlando Belgard suppliers weekly and can usually have your specific paver line on site within days. If you’re trying to match an existing line, send us a photo and we’ll identify it before ordering. Call (850) 809-0306 and we’ll start sourcing immediately.
