Cambria Home Additions & ADU: The Orlando Owner’s Guide
If you’ve got a Cambria surface that’s cracked, delaminating, or just doesn’t match the rest of your Orlando home addition anymore, we can source and install the exact Cambria-compatible replacement you need. A full home addition with Cambria surfaces in Orlando typically runs $45,000 to $130,000 installed, while a standalone ADU with Cambria countertops and finish work lands between $90,000 and $220,000. Most owners first notice the problem during a routine clean, when a hairline crack near the sink suddenly runs six inches, or when a seam that used to sit flush starts catching crumbs and the legs of barstools.
We’re an independent Orlando contractor, not a Cambria factory outlet. That means we can match your existing Cambria design without pushing you toward whatever’s left in a warehouse, and we’ll tell you honestly if a full replacement is overkill for the actual damage you’re looking at.
Which Cambria Models This Applies To

Cambria runs more than 200 design lines across roughly a dozen finish families, and the compatibility gotcha most Orlando homeowners hit is that two slabs with visually identical patterns can have different thicknesses. Cambria slabs ship in 1cm, 2cm, and 3cm profiles. Most Orlando kitchen counters are 3cm, but bathroom vanities and vertical surfaces like fireplace surrounds often use 2cm. If you’re matching an existing surface, measure the edge, don’t eyeball it.
Cambria’s high-gloss finishes, like the ones in their Brittanica and Skara Brae series, show scratches and etching faster than their matte lines. In Orlando, with hard water running through everything, matte finishes hold up better on bathroom vanities. If you’re adding a wet bar or outdoor kitchen to your addition, we’ll steer you toward a matte or leathered-look Cambria finish and tell you why before you spend the money.
OEM Cambria slabs only come through authorized fabricators. What we do is source through those fabricators and handle the measure, template, cut, and install ourselves, so you get manufacturer-backed material with our install warranty on top. Aftermarket slabs exist, but for Cambria specifically, the math rarely makes sense once you factor in fabrication tolerance and the fact that Cambria’s own warranty dies the moment someone else’s product goes in.

Signs Your Cambria Home Addition & ADU Is Failing
- Cracks running from a cutout. Sink and cooktop cutouts are stress points. A crack that starts at a corner and runs outward means the slab wasn’t properly supported during install, or someone leaned hard on the overhang. This won’t fix itself.
- Seam separation. Cambria seams should sit nearly invisible. If yours has opened up or the color match looks off, the installer either used the wrong adhesive or didn’t level the cabinets beneath first. In Orlando humidity, adhesive failures show up faster than they do in dry climates.
- Cloudy or hazy patches. Cambria is non-porous, but hard water and acidic cleaners can etch the finish over time. If a spot won’t buff out with mild soap and water, the finish is compromised, not just dirty.
- Chipped edges or corners. Quartz is tough, but a dropped cast-iron pan can take a chunk out of a Cambria edge. Small chips can sometimes be filled and polished. Big ones usually mean a new slab.
- Stains that don’t respond to cleaning. Cambria resists most staining, but certain dyes, inks, and turmeric-heavy foods can leave marks on lighter designs. If you’re scrubbing harder every month, the cost of a replacement starts looking like the smarter move.

Every quote we write includes the slab, fabrication, templating, edge profile, cutouts, install, and haul-away of the old surface. The number you approve is the number you pay. No change orders because someone “forgot” to include the sink cutout. Our 365-Day Done Right Promise covers the work for a full year after we close the job, in writing, on every single project.
DIY or Call Us?
If you’re dealing with a wobbly cabinet under your Cambria counter, you can check the shims and tighten the leveling legs yourself. If you’re looking at a cracked slab, a failed seam, or a surface that needs to match an existing addition, this is not a weekend project. Cambria slabs weigh roughly 20 pounds per square foot. A standard 3cm kitchen counter can hit 400 pounds. One wrong lift and you’re looking at a crushed toe, a broken slab, or both.
Luca Romano will tell you the same thing he’s told plenty of College Park homeowners: the cost of a professional template and install is cheap compared to buying a second slab because the first one cracked in your driveway. Call (850) 809-0306 and we’ll come measure, price it in writing, and tell you honestly whether repair or replacement is the right call for your Orlando home addition.
FAQs

Cambria is engineered quartz and carries a manufacturer warranty for the life of the original owner, which in practical terms means 20 to 30 years or more of daily use. The things that shorten that lifespan in Orlando are poor installation, hard water damage to the finish, and UV exposure on outdoor applications.
Small chips and edge damage can often be filled and polished to near-invisible, but a structural crack running from a cutout almost always means the slab needs to be replaced. Call (850) 809-0306 and we’ll assess the damage in person before you commit to anything. Estimates are free.
From template to installed slab, most Cambria replacements run two to three weeks. The actual install day is usually four to six hours for a kitchen. ADUs and full additions take longer because the counter install waits on framing, plumbing, and cabinet work to be done first.
We source Cambria slabs through their authorized local fabricators, which means access to the full current design catalog without waiting on a special one-off order. We also work with KraftMaid, Silestone, and Kohler materials on additions and ADUs, so the whole project can move under one schedule.
