CGI Fence Installation: The Orlando Owner’s Guide
We install CGI fence systems across Orlando, with most projects running $3,500 to $9,000 installed. If you have a failed CGI gate or fence section, we stock the common components and can usually get your fence back up within days, not weeks. Most owners discover the problem when a gate starts dragging, a post wobbles at the base, or a windstorm leaves a section leaning that used to stand straight.
Here’s the reality in Central Florida: CGI fencing takes a beating from afternoon thunderstorms, hurricane-season winds, and sandy soil that shifts more than people expect. When a post’s concrete footing cracks or a gate hinge binds, the whole section follows. Our crew handles these repairs and full installations the same way we handle everything else: a written price before work starts, live arrival time on the day we come out, and a job we stand behind for a full year.
Which CGI Models This Applies To

CGI (Commercial Grade Industries) makes aluminum and steel fence systems sold under several lines, and the hardware compatibility is not universal. The most common in Orlando are their commercial aluminum lines used for residential and light-commercial enclosures, plus the heavier ornamental steel options. The specific model matters for panel height, post spacing, and gate hardware.
Here’s what to check before you call: look for a label or stamp on the inside of a gate frame or on a post cap. Most CGI posts and panels carry a small manufacturer tag with the series number. If that tag is gone, measure the post dimensions and the picket spacing. We can identify the line from those two numbers in most cases. One gotcha we see often: CGI’s residential aluminum panels do not accept hardware from big-box generic fence kits. Post caps, hinges, and latch brackets are series-specific, and forcing a generic part means a gate that sags or rattles within a year. For most Orlando homes, the OEM part is worth the extra $15 to $40 per piece because it actually fits. We stock OEM CGI components and source quality aftermarket options only when the original line is discontinued and we can verify the match.

Signs Your CGI Fence Installation Is Failing
- Gate dragging or scraping at the latch side. This usually means the hinge post has shifted out of plumb, often because the concrete footing cracked or the soil around it settled. The fix is resetting the post, not just adjusting the hinge.
- Loose or spalling concrete at the post base. Florida’s wet-dry cycles crack footings over time. Once water gets in around the post, corrosion starts at the base, and that post will fail eventually.
- Wobbling post in sandy soil. Some parts of Orlando, especially areas near drainage basins, have loose sand that doesn’t hold a standard 24-inch footer. We go deeper or use a wider footing in those spots.
- Gate latch not engaging or popping open. This is often a misaligned gate frame from hinge wear, but we also see latch brackets that were undersized from day one. A wind gust catches an unlatched gate and damages the panel and hinge post together.
- Rust staining on a steel section. CGI’s steel lines are galvanized and coated, but any scratch or chip near a weld becomes a corrosion point in Orlando’s humidity and rain. Once it stains, the coating is already compromised.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For a CGI fence installation in Orlando, installed pricing typically lands between $3,500 and $9,000 depending on linear footage, panel height, post spacing, gate count, and whether we’re matching an existing line or starting fresh. Shorter runs or a single gate replacement in a matching series fall toward the low end. A full perimeter fence with two gates, plus demolition and haul-away of the old fence, lands higher.
Your written quote includes parts, labor, concrete and fasteners, gate hardware, and cleanup. We don’t hit you with a change order mid-job because a post ended up needing more concrete. The price you approve is the price you pay, and every job carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if something isn’t right within a year, we come back and fix it, no argument. Call (850) 809-0306 and we’ll send over a quote for your specific layout.
DIY or Call Us?
You can absolutely check your fence section by section: push each post, look at the footing, test the gate at three points. That tells you what’s failing and where. What you should not do is dig out and reset a gate post yourself if the hole is deeper than 18 inches or a concrete footing has to be broken up. That’s how a fence post ends up leaning the other direction six months later, and a gate post under tension from a misaligned panel can pinch or swing hard if the strap slips. For a straight panel swap on level ground with good access, a careful homeowner can manage it with the right parts. For anything structural, anything with a gate hinge, or any post deeper than a post-hole digger’s comfort zone, just call us. We’ll give you a real price and be there when we say we will.
FAQs

A properly installed CGI aluminum fence should last 25 years or more in Orlando, with the hardware and post footings being the first things to service. The aluminum itself doesn’t rust, and the powder coat holds up well; it’s the gate hinges and latches that wear out first, usually around the 10 to 15 year mark.
A single section or post can almost always be repaired or replaced on its own. The challenge is finding hardware that matches the original series, which is exactly what we stock. If the panel itself is straight and only the post has failed, we reset the post and rehang the panel. Call (850) 809-0306 if you’re not sure what you’re looking at; we can tell you over the phone whether it’s a repair or a full-run job.
Most Orlando installs take one to two days on site. A single post reset or gate repair is usually half a day. Demolition of a failed section and full replacement with new concrete footings adds time because the concrete needs to cure before we hang the panels under full weight.
We stock the most common CGI series hardware on the truck: gate hinges, latch brackets, post caps, and panel brackets. For odd series or discontinued color match hardware, we order from CGI or a verified supplier, which usually adds three to five business days. We’ll tell you upfront which situation you’re in before we schedule anything.
If your CGI fence is leaning, sagging, or just not latching the way it used to, call (850) 809-0306 and we’ll take a look. Written quote, real arrival time, no runaround. Good work doesn’t need a speech, it just needs to hold up.
