Tremron Driveway & Pavers: The Orlando Owner’s Guide
We stock and install Tremron-compatible driveway pavers and replacement units across Orlando, with most paver driveway repairs running $3,500 to $11,000 depending on square footage and base condition. If you’re looking at a cracked paver, a sinking section, or a driveway that’s starting to look more wave than surface, we can usually get a crew out to assess it within the week and have pricing in your hands the same day. Most Orlando homeowners discover the problem after a heavy summer downpour, when water pools in a low spot that wasn’t there last year, or when a paver splits under the weight of an SUV.
Sawyer Remodel Orlando is an independent contractor, not a Tremron dealer or affiliate. That matters because we’re not pushing one product line. We match what’s already in your driveway so the patch doesn’t look like a patch.
Which Tremron Models This Applies To

Tremron runs several paver lines that show up constantly on Orlando driveways: the Holland and Olde Towne series for classic brick patterns, plus larger-format options like Mega Olde Towne and Travertine series that some HOAs in neighborhoods like Baldwin Park and Winter Park require for front-facing hardscape. The compatibility gotcha most people miss is that Tremron’s color blends shift by manufacturing batch, so a “Terra Cotta” paver bought in 2018 won’t match a 2023 run exactly. We handle that by pulling a sample from your existing driveway and matching to the current batch before ordering, or by blending replacement units several rows into the field so the transition disappears.
Here’s what to check if you’re trying to identify your paver yourself: flip a loose unit over. Tremron stamps the mold name and often the plant code on the underside. Measure the nominal face dimensions, which are usually 4×8, 6×9, or 8×16 inches depending on series. Thickness tells you the load rating: 60mm pavers are pedestrian-grade, 80mm handles driveways, and anything over that is rated for commercial traffic. If your driveway has 60mm units, that’s likely why they’re cracking under vehicle weight. We spec 80mm minimum for any driveway reinstall, which is what Tremron’s own driveway guidelines call for in Florida’s sandy, shifting subsoils.
OEM versus aftermarket: for Tremron specifically, we recommend staying with genuine Tremron units for color-matched driveway repairs. Cast stone from other Florida manufacturers like CEMEX or Flagstone Pavers uses different aggregate and pigment, and the color drift shows within a year under Orlando UV. Aftermarket edge restraints, geotextile, and bedding sand are a different story, quality suppliers like Techniseal and Alliance make products that outperform OEM accessories, and that’s what we use on every base rebuild.

Signs Your Tremron Driveway & Pavers Is Failing
- Settling or dipping sections. This is almost always a base failure, not a paver failure. Orlando’s sandy soil plus our rainy season means the compacted base washes out over time, and the surface follows it down. We see this most in the Lake Nona and Avalon Park areas where newer developments were built on disturbed fill.
- Cracked or spalled units. A cracked paver in the wheel path usually means the units are undersized for the load, either 60mm installed where 80mm belongs, or the base wasn’t compacted properly before the units went down. Spalling, where the top surface flakes off, is typically a freeze-thaw or salt issue, less common in Orlando but we do see it on pool decks where chlorine splash accelerates surface wear.
- Edge drift along the driveway border. When pavers start separating from the edge restraint and wandering outward, the edge restraint failed first. Without that rigid border holding lateral pressure, the whole field slowly spreads, and every paver loses interlock. This is a repairable problem early and a full rebuild problem if it’s ignored for a couple of Orlando summers.
- Weeds or ant mounds pushing through joints. Organic material between pavers means the joint sand has washed out and been replaced by soil. Ants love this. The fix is polymeric sand, not just sweeping more sand in, polymeric sets firm and resists both ants and our daily deluges.
- Water pooling after rain. A properly pitched paver driveway sheds water fast. If you’re seeing standing water 30 minutes after the rain stops, the base under the surface has shifted, or the pitch was never correct. This accelerates every other failure on this list.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For the Orlando market, full paver driveway installation on a standard two-car layout runs $7,000 to $18,000, and paver patio work lands between $3,500 and $11,000. Spot repairs, replacing a 4×4-foot settling section or swapping out a dozen cracked units, typically runs $800 to $2,500 depending on base condition and whether we’re color-matching from current production or blending into an older batch.
Here’s the line-item reality so you’re not surprised:
- Excavation and base prep: $2,500 to $5,000 for a full driveway, includes removal of existing surface and haul-off.
- Compacted aggregate base: $1,500 to $3,000, 4-6 inches of compacted base is the minimum for anything a car drives on in Florida soil.
- Tremron pavers: $2,500 to $7,000 depending on series and square footage, larger format and premium color blends push toward the top.
- Edge restraint, geotextile, and polymeric sand: $500 to $1,500, the cheap parts that cause expensive failures when skipped.
- Labor and finish work: $2,000 to $5,000, includes cutting, fitting, and final compaction.
Every quote from Sawyer Remodel Orlando is a written, line-item price before any work starts. That’s The Relay Standard and it’s not optional on our jobs. You’ll see the paver cost, the base cost, and the labor broken out, so the number on the invoice matches the number you approved. We also back every paver repair with our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it settles, shifts, or fails within a year, we’re back to make it right at no charge.
DIY or Call Us?
Paver work is not like swapping a light fixture. There’s no high-tension spring or electrical hazard, so nobody’s going to get hurt, but an amateur base job fails within two seasons and costs more to rip out and redo than doing it right the first time. What you can safely check yourself: look for loose units, obvious low spots, and edge separation. If the problem is isolated to a few patios pavers on a walkway, and you’re comfortable with hand tools, a homeowner can sometimes reset individual units with new bedding sand.
Where DIY goes wrong is anything involving the base, drainage, or more than a handful of units. Compaction matters, and you’re not getting proper density with a rental plate tamp on a Florida afternoon. Pitch matters more, get it wrong and you’re directing water toward your slab, not away. If the job touches your driveway, your foundation-adjacent soil, or more than 20 square feet, call us at (850) 809-0306. We’ll assess it straight and give you a number either way.
FAQs

With a proper base and 80mm units, a Tremron paver driveway in Orlando typically lasts 20 to 30 years before the surface needs real attention, with the base outlasting the units in most cases. What shortens that lifespan here is water: our afternoon thunderstorms and high water table mean drainage and base compaction matter more than the paver quality itself. Call (850) 809-0306 and we’ll tell you honestly whether your driveway needs a repair or has years left.
Yes, individual units and small sections can be replaced without tearing out the whole field, as long as the base underneath is still sound. We stock common Tremron colors and sizes on the truck, and for less common blends we pull samples and order matched units before scheduling the work. Give us a call at (850) 809-0306 for a free assessment.
Most spot repairs, replacing a settling section or a dozen cracked units, take one to two working days including base recompaction and joint sanding, and your driveway is driveable the same day we finish. A full driveway replacement usually runs three to five working days depending on access and weather windows. The estimate you approve includes the schedule, so you’ll know before we start.
We stock the most common Tremron Holland and Olde Towne units in standard colors and handle all ordering for specialty blends and current-batch color matching. You won’t need to coordinate with a Tremron distributor or schedule a delivery; that’s part of the project. Call (850) 809-0306 for a free estimate and written line-item price.
If your Orlando driveway is showing wear, settling, or failing at the edge, don’t wait through another rainy season. Call Sawyer Remodel Orlando at (850) 809-0306 and we’ll get you a written price, a real arrival window, and a paver job that holds up. Good work doesn’t need a speech, it just needs to hold up.
